Patrick was in a terrible motorcycle accident on May 30th at 72nd and Sheridan.  He was riding the Melvin Memorial ride. He is currently still in the hospital and will be here for an unknown length of time. He has an open fracture of the right patella with a laceration going into the joint requiring surgery to clean and repair it with screws and wearing a knee brace. Fracture of his right index and middle finger requiring surgery to place pins. Laceration of right forearm down to the bone requiring cleaning and stitches. Right elbow laceration requiring stitches and wearing a splint. Left ankle laceration requiring debridement and skin grafting and wearing a splint. There are multiple locations of road rash, with a large one on the left shoulder—contusion (bruising) of the right lung. Surgery on hand done 6/1. He will have a long road to recovery, and as you all know, the bills keep coming in.
