My name is Sasha. I’m 21 years old, live in Logan, Utah, and am an undergraduate student at Utah State University. I’m currently taking a leadership class, and we have been assigned a project where we are to practice the skills learned in class by leading a small group of people to make an impact. For my project, I have decided to raise money to donate to your organization, BikerDown.

In September of this year, my family was devastated by the death of my brother’s girlfriend, Lexi. She passed in a fatal motorcycle accident. Due to these recent circumstances, I was inspired to look for a charity that benefitted the biker community. I wanted to find an organization that supports families impacted by motorcycle accidents and that promotes safe riding. Luckily, I stumbled across your website and found the organization I hoped for.

So far, to raise money, I am selling Digital Dozens. Recently, I rented a booth at Indy Clover, a local second-hand store, to sell some clothes. I plan to donate 100% of what I make from my sales at Indy Clover to BikerDown. My brother, a part of my team for this project, works at Domino's and plans to reach out to his boss to get some punch cards we can sell. My project is due December 3rd, which doesn’t leave us much time, but I trust we will still have something to show for our efforts.

Even though this is for a school project, I’m still very passionate about it. This is my first time doing something like this, and it's pushing me out of my comfort zone. If there are better methods you recommend for fundraising, I’m open to suggestions.
