My brother Mathew Despaw was killed in a motorcycle accident on 8/14/24 in Brighton Colorado. 

Mathew was born on January 24, 1981, in Potsdam, NY, located on the Canadian border.  He graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School in 2000.  He entered the Marine Corps out of high school and spent two years in North Carolina. He came back to NY following the Marines for 10 years.
He moved to North Carolina and lived there for 9 years.  He then moved to Colorado to take a position with Lockheed Martin as a HVAC Specialist.

His love was motorcycle riding and he owned many over the years, in 2020 when he moved here, he bought his bike from Sun Harley and our family had never seen him so happy.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking those who loved him to donate to the BikerDown Foundation.  Mathew loved the biker community and we know that he would be so pleased to pay it forward and help this charity.
