On a Sunday afternoon, Victor (Vic) was going to his parent’s house for a surprise visit to share how the Church service went that morning. Although Vic never made it to his parent’s house, his family received a phone call stating that he was in the hospital getting prepped for surgery as he had been in a motorcycle accident involving a car. Thanks to the power of social media and good-hearted people Vic’s family was able to give their thanks to those who stayed with him and kept him stable until emergency services arrived. A volunteer firefighter who saw the accident ran to Vic and stayed with him until help arrived; many others were helping take Vics helmet off and keep him still and stable.

As of 10/20/2023 Vic is closely being monitored in the ICU as he has undergone 4 surgeries and is expected to undergo 1-2 more. While his amazing doctors, nurses, and other health care providers are providing Vic with the best care, his case is continuing to unravel new findings. The following is the most up to date information regarding the injuries Vic’s sustained from the accident; left tibia & fibula compound fracture, right hip fracture, urological injuries, insertion of right sacroiliac screw, and abdominal aortic dissection which required immediate graft repair. Future tests will check for suspected injuries such as thoracic spine fracture, right leg fracture, and rib fracture(s).

Vic’s family is so beyond grateful to God that Vic is still here with us as it is a miracle that he is alive. We know there will be a long road to recovery, as doctors have already stated he will not be going home after he is discharged from the hospital. He will need intensive rehabilitation and assistance monitoring his Type 1 Diabetes which will extend his recovery period. In advance his family and friends thank everyone who can help Vic back on his feet with their donations or information sharing.
