#2Wheels4Meals - Hornbuckle Foundation Collaboration - October 18th

#2Wheels4Meals is gearing up again and headed out to support the Hornbuckle Foundation on Sunday, October 18. As always, our mission is to support our community through the challenges presented to individuals and businesses in 2020. We do this through raising donations to purchase food from local restaurants that we then deliver to people in need. 

The Hornbuckle Foundation’s mission is to provide hope and support to people suffering from substance use disorder by assisting them in finding tools and resources to transition into productive and positive members of society. October 18, #2Wheels4Meals will provide meals for approximately 50 people who are currently in sober living homes and who are committed to their recovery. We are incredibly proud to offer support to these brave people facing unprecedented challenges that only 2020 can deliver. Help us, help them!

Announcements about the delivery motorcycle caravan will be announced as we firm up details.

In the meantime, every dollar helps us show these folks that their Colorado community cares and supports them! Donations are managed by BikerDown, a Colorado non-profit dedicated to helping injured motorcyclists, and 100% of your donation goes to the cause. (Rider Justice is absorbing processing fees for this fundraiser.)

#2Wheels4Meals is a movement started by Rider Justice, Colorado Rider News, META Magazine, and BikerDown Colorado In March, when COVID-19 started causing closures of the biker businesses that we love, we knew we had to do something to make sure they stayed in business. Since then, we have purchased over 2000 meals that have been bought from local restaurants and delivered to needy people including: The Denver Rescue Mission, VA Hospital workers, Joshua Station, Bethany Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, and hundreds of First Responders at St. Anthony’s Hospital, West Metro Fire, Denver Health, Lutheran Hospital Aurora Fire Department, University of Colorado Hospital, Franktown Fire & Rescue, Lonetree Fire Station #34, Jeffco Jail and more. Restaurants including Dirty Dogs Roadhouse, Piper Inn, and Stagecoach Saloon have all received additional cash donations from #2Wheels4Meals to distribute as they see fit.
